Default Nub San Andres Maduro

My San Andres Review:

The Experience:
This plump and gorgeous maduro busts out of the gates in typical nub fashion and floods the palate with heavy tobacco, bitter chocolate, and charred wood flavors. Despite the girth, the San Andres did not produce a lot smoke so each puff seemed to draw less than a mouthful of flavor. As I progressed deeper into the cigar, some spice and leather notes emerged and smoke volume began to pick up. Unfortunately, the increase in smoke was marginal at best and I found myself fighting to draw more smoke, and more flavor, out of the cigar. It proved to be quite stubborn and continued to fight me for the rest of the cigar.

Final Notes:
I really liked the flavor of the cigar, but it left me wanting more. I think it has some potential if it can overcome this one performance hurdle. I think Stuido Tobac needs to go back to the blending room and do a little more tweaking.

No, the draw wasn't tight or limited and it burned fine. It just didn't produce much smoke. My humidor is a relatively wet 71% so maybe this cigar prefers to be a bit dry although it wasn't harsh or bitter.

I'm smoking a Cain Maduro Torp right now and is smoking fine. I think there is something in the blend that isn't producing.

Nice review, mine was around 66-68% and smoked pretty nice not too resistant but not wide open either!

I smoked mine awhile back and it was fine. I keep my humidor around 70 but I've been thinking I might need to lower it to 65 because some of my cigars are a little tight also.
