Default A spoilt occasion

So everyone may know Florida as having perfect weather. Though at times this may be true most times it is either way too hot or some times a bit nippy. But today was the ending of a wonderful cold front. The weather was beautiful, not too hot and not too cold and the humidity was actually bearable. Seeing how it was cloudy though i checked the weather only to find out that there was only a 10% chance of rain. So i go outside with a cup of coffee and a lovely cigar. It was wonderful and the cigar and coffee were doing beautiful. I was about 30 minutes into the smoke when BAM, the sprinklers came on and soaked both my stoogie and I to the bone!! Apparently the timer malfunctioned and the sprinklers were going off in the evening. Afterwards though there was a rainbow in my backyard which was pretty cool. Just wondering if anyone else has ever run into a situation which ended their relaxing time unpleasantly??

Welcome to the site! Glad you are here.

I was out this past Sat smoking on my deck. Nice warm low humid day. I was really enjoying the peace and quiet. The guy next door fires up his leafblower. Really kinda messed up my smoke.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your soggy ruined cigar

Luckily, the closest I've had to a ruined cigar is a bad round of golf while enjoying one

  • waves breaking over the side of the boat & wetting me
  • someone putting on the womens channel in my club
  • someone with a cigarette hanging from their lips asking me to put out my cigar
  • & once while fighting a fish a great cigar fell from my lips and landed in the bait. Gooey clam juice all over the butt. (I clipped it back and finished it)

Today was nice up here also. About 47 degrees and I had to go out and have a cigar with my coffee. Chose a Arganese ML3. Great cigar to go with some strong coffee.

Welcome to the site and sorry about your soggy stogie. I can't say I've had anything quite like that happen, but I've had some clouds roll in with strong winds and rain that cut my smoking a bit short.
