Have a 50 count on the desk with nothing in it. I usually only have 4 or 5 cigars at a time unless I win some or my kids and sister hook me up for fathers day birthday or Christmas. Have 4 others boxed up that I have won but have never had a use for them. Planning on selling them.

I have an aristocrat end-table, An Aristocrat MT, 2 60 qt coolers and 2 desk-tops currently working. I figure around 3,000 cigars, give or take. I haven't been buying like I used to. I'm good until the day I leave this planet as long as I dont live/smoke past 90.

I got one down in my family room that stands 4ft high and is a 750 count.
1 that I have on my night table in my bedroom

I keep hearing about these "cooler" humidors. Is it made from an actual cooler or is that just an expression. Would love to see a pic if possible,

Actual Cooler....just throw some beads in there with the cigar boxes and boom...you're good to go. I had one that I dont use anymore to store some boxes before I got the big humidor.

it's both. Some people add shelves, etc. I just toss in boxes (& boxes & boxes). Keeps humidity well.

In my house I just sold I had a converted closet which help all my cigars nicely. I also have around 3000 cigars, and that's why I send them out to you guys (share the wealth so to speak), I'll never smoke all of them. Now in my new house I have 3 sixty gallon tupadores, six smaller tupadoes, and a 100 count humidor.

JOE!!!!!!!
Great to see you here!

Temperature? Joe, in all but a very few rare circumstances our humidors have humidity control only. Temp is generally controlled by the room AC or heating system. Make sure there's no direct sunlight on the unit and if it's warming in your humidor than in the room then perhaps your humidifier is throwing off excessive heat.

or did you mean humidity? Lowering humidity is seldom an issue and there are few things you can do. My advice would be to get some damprid and put a little in a cup and leave it in there for a day and see what happens. I use this stuff on my boat to control mold.

What is the temp in the room just outside of the humidor? If it's less than 74 then there's a heat source somewhere...
Did you check the oasis? Put your hands on it, does it feel warm?

something is giving off heat... or... it's not that warm in there. You sure your thermometer is accurate?

I have an end table humidor that holds 1500 cigars but was too much work and I didn't have near that many cigars to help it hold the humidity. Makes a nice end table. I downsized to the original 100 and 300 count humidors. Easy to manage and hope to get down to just one of those. A travel 20 count humidor kit. It came with a cutter, lighter, a small disk to add distilled water to, and hygrometer. I think it is a Don Thomas or something and it currently sits empty, but ready for another long camping trip. The daily humi is in the backpack and holds a five count.
