I did my fare share this weekend... with some interesting results
I smoked a La Aura 1495 series that I can't tell you how long I had this in my humidor. I used to enjoy these. The first thing I noticed is that the cello wasn't yellowed at all. It was clear. I wondered what this meant. The first half was good, the next quarter wasn't so much. The first puff on the last quarter was nothing short of disgusting. Now, I had this in my humidor for at least 10 years. I don't know what happened to this cigar but it wasn't fun. I know I bought a box and I have 7 more left. One day I'll see if it was just that cigar or the entire batch that went south in my humidor.

I smoked a Cain Lancero, A Cain/Padilla collaboration (I forget the short name for these) and a bunch of other cigars during a BBQ that just kinda sprung up in my yard on Saturday and Sunday I spent the day in the city that ended up in a club on 14 union sq and I stayed WAYYYYY too long!!! (got to sleep at 2, alarm went off at 5.

Tried a few new cigars today. One is from the DR from a company called Choqui the Dos 77. Good cigar but not one I would call great. The other one was a Kristoff Vengeance. Also a good cigar but not one I would call great.

Went to the USMA at West Point this weekend for the annual Wings Of Warriors event. Great time and met some of the soldiers who have been helped by this organization. Enjoyed to many cigars to remember each one, great time had by all.

Yesterday I smoked an El Diablo!
I bought the box at an event many many years ago and won an El Diablo bobble head (which is still in the box in my closet). The cello on this was so dark and yellow. The cigar was very good. After 12-15 years I give this a rating of 92! (no way I would have given it that when I bought it, they were a good cigar, but not a wow-gar)

RP Sungrown Maduro, I have found his cigars to be lacking in many areas. I don't think I'll be buying any more of his cigars. Also had a new cigar just released by Black Label Trading Company, a NXB, not bad.

Luchador. Been awhile since I've had one of Sam's cigars. Found it in a discount bin for 6 bucks. Only the one or I would've bought more.

This cigar was gifted to me. It's made by Tabacalera Palma, wh has been in business since 1937. I have never heard of this manufacturer before. The cigar is call the La Galera.Nice smooth medium bodied cigar.

Around 15 years ago I wen to a Davidoff event held at one of NYC most elite clubs, The Grand Havana room (where I met Al Sharpton, whoopee)
Anyway, the price tag included dinner and a few highly limited smokes. I smoked one Friday night after a remarkable sushi dinner. It was a good thing.
