Default What are you doing?

Where did it go?

I am not sure what happened but the entire thread seems to have vanished...

For now use this one, I'll do what I can to see if our old thread can be restored.

Just got home from Indiana State Fair. Went to see if the wife won this year.
Not as good as years past but this year she was so busy getting ready for school to start. She got up Saturday morning and made....salsa 4th place...corn relish 4th place...choc fudge 4th place...peanut butter fudge 2nd place...bbq sauce 2nd place...peanut brittle 1st place. Made all those things and had them at the fair by 5 pm that day. Told her if she had the time to work with things she could've done better. I do know now we'll not buy bbq sauce any more.

Ready for the weekend....may take Jayce out for his first overnight camping trip. 3.5 years old seems like a perfect age.

Had a late supper tonight...Italian sausage with grilled green peppers and onions. Corn on the cob and sliced maters. Let that digest a bit and the wife and I grabbed an ice cream cone and took a ride. Can't sleep as usual so I just done the dishes and straightened up the kitchen.

Got the chicken coop squared away over the weekend.

Got 18 Ameraucana chicks, should have blue eggs in 6-9 months.

lol Hudd... it's on my list of things to do. I'd love to heard again...

I just went out for a cup of coffee with a wonderful woman I've known for over 10 years now. Sat outside and watched the NY sights.

I wish all I had to do was wash wax out of my ears to hear. That does not work for me hearing aids do through.

Finished dishes, watered the pepper plants and getting ready to vacuum the carpet. Soon as the sun rises enough to see I'm mowing the yard.

Woo hoo! Got the mower in the shed and it started raining. Got that chore done just in time. Maybe the wife will get me a couple cigars for the weekend while we're in Indy tomorrow.

Getting ready to head to Indiana state fair. Wife has a pie contest to do this afternoon. Heirloom family pie recipes. She used a sugar cream pie recipe that my mom used all the time that was her grandmothers. It is an awesome pie!

Wife didn't place with her pie at the fair. We sure like it though. Home made sugar cream pie that my great grandmother made back in the early 1900s. Roamed around the fair for a while. Paid for it today...could barely walk for biggest part of the day. She has one more in person competition nnext Saturday. Sponsored by Spam the dish is an appetizer made with Spam. She's doing a bbq bacon wrapped Spam nuggets appetizer. I'm her taste tester to see how it is. She can't stand Spam.

Just got back from a ride around the lake in the rain. Thought I was going to get stuck in the mud on one of the gravel/mud roads but made it after a few tries. About hit a deer. Good thing I was going slower than usual. Didn't think any deer would be running in the rain.
