& so it begins
Although this happened a few days ago, I was waiting to get onto my computer at home to post pictures and do it justice. Alas, I have not logged onto my PC at home since Sunday & it may be some time yet before I get the chance again. So...
I got a box early in the week. I thought, oh no... more cigars. I thought about the locker at my club filled to the brim, my 2 aristocrats at home bursting at the seams & the 2 64 quart coolers equally as full. I actually did not open the box at once. After a trip to the gym and dinner I was putting my plate in the sink and I saw the box again & took a closer look. Return address: Toolman Tim. I thought, he's a good guy, he should not be sending me cigars, I should be sending them to him. I opened the box. I'm sure for no other reason than to make my life miserable, the express mail box was not only sealed as the PO intended, but was amply taped all around. Reluctantly I admitted defeat, gave in and got a knife. Diligently I cut the tape being careful not to harm the cigars inside. Only when I got inside there were no cigars. Nope. It was a Zippo box. For a brief moment I thought "could it be a Iraqi coalition forces lighter"? I opened the box with great anticipation & stood in disbelief as I admired the thought of the gift and how much it meant to me. It was the Zippo Iraqi coalition forces lighter. The one Zippo not in my collection I wanted most. As a patriot and a staunch supporter of the men and women in the armed forces when I first learned of this lighter I knew I had to have one. And with the joy & enthusiasm of Ralphie when he got his red ryder bb gun, I removed the lighter, literally caressed it, showed it off to Debbi (& I admit she looked a little envious) and gingerly put it back. My next task is to find what lighter in my primary display case this one will be replacing.
Tim, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! thank you! thank you! And coming from you it means all the more!
here is a stock photo:

Awesome Tim. Not only bombing the skipper, but realizing he probably doesnt need any more cigars and sending him something he'd truly appreciate.
True class, toolman, true class.

Tim, that is a very thoughtful, and downright awesome gift, good job buddy!
Skipper, as everyone else has said, and Tim's gift indicated, you definitely deserve it. You have done so much for Sam, for Nub, and for all of us. It's great that you got a gift and that it's something that you've wanted so much.

Glad you like it. Like I told you earlier. I knew I couldn't come home without getting you one.

I actually was stationed in Kuwait. We were a support company for convoys going into Iraq. I only spent 7 days in Iraq the entire time. I looked for Iraqi ones, but never found anything great.
