This morning I think I'll enjoy a Padron 64th maduro. It seems like the perfect morning coffee birthday smoke. And it's only only one year away from my birth year.

I buy my cars with cigars in mind. Several rules. - must be leather interior
- sun roof just as important
- rain guards on the windows so I can open them in the rain
- I use one of those coffee cup holder ashtrays
I smoke in my car all the time. Aside from the ashtray most non-smokers can't tell (unless I had one the day before).
I used to use one of those ozone things. They work great but the cheap ones don't last. I was lucky to get 3 of 4 months out of it. And... Ozone will deteriorate rubber. There's a lot of rubber in a car.
My last car had an openable rear window. That was great, although when someone behind me beeped the horn I used to jump out of my skin!)

Well, the northeast is supposed to get SLAMMED with some serious snow starting tomorrow, but once it stops falling, I will hopefully be able to make it out for a smoke or two this weekend. I'm thinking some snowy Nub stands are in order.

Nestor Miranda Special Selection 6x60 - feels WAY too light though. Would think for such a big cigar it would have more substance to it...we shall see how it smokes

I smoked a home-grown, home-rolled cigar last night during half time!
A friend of a friend has about a dozen acres northwest of Houston and he's been growing different "specialty" crops out there for a while now (tobacco, bamboo, other wierd shit). He's close to retirement, and the print shop he works at is about to close down. He's looking for something that'll pay his bills until retirement if they close down before he does.
Anyway, he's not sure where tobacco will take him but he's gonna keep at it cuz he's a pretty heavy cigar smoker, and I'm sure it'll be a great hobby for a retiree. I didn't snap any pics because it honestly wasn't much to look at... ugly, wrinkly, pigtail at both ends. It burned perfectly and tasted fantastic though! I know this is last summers harvest, so they have almost no age so I'm looking forward to next year and the year after. He should also get better at rolling by then. I told my friend to pass along to him that they were indeed fantastic, and with the proper construction i'd be willing to pay for them!

Had a Montecristo Media Noche (one of my faves) on my neighbors deck Saturday night. He lit the fire pit and we had some beers amidst the 2 feet of surrounding snow.

I smoked a CAO VR in the snowstorm last Friday while sitting by the firepit. It was a blast, and when all was said and done, we had 32" of snow on the ground. I only stayed out for the first 16 or so. A buddy took a pic with his phone, i'll have to get ahold of it so I can post it for you guys.

The snow stopped, the winds calmed, and good God almighty what is that bright light in the sky, did I die and someone forgot to tell me? I forgot the sky could be blue once in a while. So with the temperatures just above the 30 degree mark I got to sit in the bright light and enjoy a 358 Connecticut. Sweet! Is this heaven?

Best cigar last night at poker was the CAO Maduro Anni. Sweet and smooth. The weather actually is getting into the upper 30s so tomorrow may be a cigar day.
