It's Official
Oliva as been sold. They sold to J. Cortez n. v. based out of Belgium. The Oliva family will still run the business and Jose Oliva will remain as the CEO. The tobacco farms will remain the property of the Olivas. The negotiations have been going for the last 6 month. So there you have it.

As long as the sticks stay the same! Hopefully they will!

Also the old team on the manufacturing end stays the same. Jose stays on. Dave stays on... I see no changes in the immediate future

I love this video.

Nothing is changing that wouldn't have changed anyway under the original owners. It's business, and it needs to change to keep up in the marketplace and stay profitable. But we're not changing in any negative way because of the new owners. We are looking at areas to expand production and packaging capabilities, but that's been on the wish list before.
J. Cortes wanted to buy us, not absorb or change us. After spending a few days with them at the IPCPR in Vegas, I can tell you that I love the new owners, and I am so happy for everyone involved. It's a win-win-win. Old and new owners -employees-customers.
