Has anyone heard of Jack Schwartz importers? I was just browsing their site, and I see something on there called '7-25-08 Friday Special' in which they have some amazing prices on Nubs. I'm talking 63.50 for a box of 358 Cameroons, $92 for a box of 466 Box Pressed Torpedo Cameroons, 87.50 for a box of Connecticut 464T or a box of 464T Habanos.

Jack Schwartz is a very famous online retailer. They have great connections and usually decent prices.
Recently they got themselves in between a small situation between 2 manufacturers, posted some nonsense in their catalog, but that's all cleared up now. I have used them in the past for AF product.

Interesting, well, I will have to try them out because those are some awfully nice prices. I'm not sure what to get, so far i've only smoked the Habano 464T, and I recently got a box of 358 Habanos. I'm going to trade some Habanos for some Cammies with Brian, so I guess I'll pick up a box of Connecticuts to see how they are. I anticipate enjoying them enough to want a whole box.

Skip, i think you're thinking of Holt's with Ernesto, not Jack Schwartz

That was Holt's. Jack Schwartz is a stand-up retailer.

Well, those seem to be some pretty darn good prices, so now I must make the difficult decision...which box(es) to buy. hmmmmmmmmmmm
Oh, and Skipper, you're right, it just simply CAN'T be the Scotch. ;)

mav, the decision is easy... you can't go wrong with whatever NUB you pick!

Well said! I think I might splurge and buy two boxes so I can have all three on hand. I have a new Milano glass top humidor on it's way up from cheaphumidors.com. It will be my Nub humidor.

I figured it was about time to upgrade from my sock drawer. Can't fill the coleman with my cigars, it's already full of beer.

Once Mav fills the new humidor he will see the wisdom of a cooladore.

JS just posted this on another forum:
Hello everyone at Stogie Chat. It's been a while since we've run a good special, so I'm very happy to say we're having a deal on NUB cigars this week. Most sizes in all three blends are 1/3 off.
One other thing I would like to mention. We have a couple Seven Cigar Lancero Samplers left in the shop. The Seven Cigar Lancero Sampler is something we put together, you get one each of: La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero, La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Oscuro, La Flor Dominicana Cameroon, Coronado, Joya de Nicaragua Antano, Oliva Series V, and Davidoff Millennium.
The sampler goes for $58. And, as an added bonus, (wow that sounds like a tv infomercial) we're giving everyone FREE UPS Ground shipping on your entire order when you purchase a Seven Cigar Lancero Sampler (Continenteal U.S. only). Residents of Alaska and Hawaii, we'll knock $9 off your shipment (that's the average price of a Ground shipment). Right now our website is not set up to show the free shipping on your order. What I am doing is emailing everyone who makes a purchase to let them know what their corrected price is with the free shipping.
You can check out the Lancero Sampler here:
SEVEN CIGAR LANCERO SAMPLER

I have links to our Friday Special page on the photos above. Also, if you have time go and take a look at our "What's New" page. I've added a bunch of La Flor Dominicana items and a lot of new stuff from Prometheus, and there is more to come. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you,
Eric

Dang, that's awesome, thanks Skipper! I'm definitely placing an order this friday, i'm thinking a box of Connecticuts and a box of Cameroons. They'll nicely compliment my box of Habanos, and i'll use my new humidor specifically for Nubs.
Oh yeah, and a kiln dried spanish cedar house sounds amazing!

Tell me about it! Either that or, a better price always shows up, right after you make a purchase!

Well, i decided i've been spending so much on cigars that I need to cut back, so i didn't buy the two boxes like I wanted to, but i did however decide i wanted to try the whole gamut of Nubs, so I got 2 of each. That turned out to be 16 cigars, so i'm pretty excited. That's 2 cameroon 358's, 460s, 464T's, and 466Box Pressed T's, and of the Conneticuts the 354s, 358's, 460s and 464Ts. I didn't get any Habanos because they only had two types and one of them I have a box of already. I can't wait!

I got my Nub shipment in today, they all look good, although the shipping box is a little beat up. Once i'm done seasoning my humidor i'll get them in there and let them sit for a week or two before i try smoking them. I can't wait. I basically got 16 cigars, two of each size of Connie and Cammy.

"So I have received a ton of calls and emails from folks wondering if we can extend this NUB Special for another day or two. I was going to put up another special today, but figured since it is Wednesday already I'm just going to leave the special up there.
The NUB Special will go on through the end of the week, till August 1st. I even have the Habano 464T back in stock so they are up on special again. "
Looks like the sale is going another day or 2!

My order came in from them for my NUBS yesterday. Took about a week to get here and there were no humi packets in the bag. They seemed fine and are now resting in my humi. Did smoke a Connie Nub 358 last night from the shipment and DAMM...nice!
