Hi Derek,
I was touched by Sam's generosity on more than one occasion this weekend, including the situation you described. Thanks for sharing it with everyone here on the boards, and welcome!

Derek, thanks for visiting the boards. I remember that gesture in particular. I really did feel bad for the guy after paying that money to get in and then arriving to find a lot of vendors with dry booths. Sams an amazing dude, and definitely looks out for others. It was good to see a smile on the guys face. Thanks for sharing.

That was awesome of Sam!!
I, for one, was shocked to see how many of the vendors ran out of cigars! I know if I would have paid the money for a ticket and was told, sorry I ran out, I would have been a little upset.

A great gesture for sure but Sam is known for that. That's what makes him and the Oliva Company such a great place..

Yes, I do recall when that happened and like Brian said, that was one of many very nice gestures by Sam. He's a very generous, cool dude, and always looks out for people.
Glad you had a good time Derek, thanks for sharing the story and welcome to Nublive.

I saw that too and was told what happend when I asked. That was really cool of him. I have met a lot of people in the cigar industry (thanks all to Sam which is just another generous act of kindness) and Sam is definately at the top of the list of awesomeness.
