here is a link to a little blurb about Nubs coming to the U.K. Nubs are taking over the world!

That's great that Nub is getting some more attention, especially by CA, but I looked at their online rating and it pissed me off:
A sawed of plug of a torpedo that burns unevenly but has a full, fine draw. Its cedary, nutty notes leave behind tart, tinny flavors on the finish.
First of all, i've only had a few burn unevenly and that's because i was too drunk to light it properly. I also don't feel like it has any tartness nor tinny flavors. To me it has the cedary, nutty notes, with an almost bread like aftertaste and a hint of sweetness. Dang, now I wanna smoke one. Why do i tease myself like this.

Yeah, their rating was trash! I think once people try them, they realize that Nubs are different, but awesome! Maybe CA can't handle the greatness...

Agreed Sonic, I usually use the ratings just to give me ideas of new cigars to try. They list cigars I've never heard of, so I know what to look for, even if they give it a bad rating. I like to make my own rating.

let them rate them poorly. we know better & there's more for us!
If anyone in the UK meets up with Brian S, tell him "Skipper" says hello!

one issue I have never had is an uneven burn, maybe they didn't spend enough time trying to light the smokes
The April 09 CA gives the habano 460 an 89. It even gives it a little better rating.
" Short and fat with an even draw and burn. Its a toasty, spicy cigar with a coffee note and some dryness on the finish."
sometimes i think they make stuff up as they go.

I went to a Nub tasting event last week in Maumee,OH and there were plenty of first-time nubbers that had nothing but great things to say about all three blends. I like CA a lot,but I think they got this one wrong. A great cigar like the Nub will sell itself, even with its lower-than-expected rating.

Great little article, thanks a lot for posting it! It's awesome news to hear that the Nubs are going abroad! :thumb:
The CA rating angers me as well.....I've never had an uneven burn issue with any of the Nub types/sizes. However, like Skipper mentioned, MORE FOR US! :nub:

The only uneven burn i've ever experienced was because my lighter ran out before i lit the entire thing, so i tried to compensate by rotating and getting the faster burning side wet. That was entirely my fault, but when i light it properly, i never have a problem.

No matter what others say about the NUB, it's your opinion that counts. You know how good the NUB is and that's all that matters.

Lol! Love the torch!
Skip, I put mine in the tail pipe of my car and by the time I drive my 30 miles to work, it's glowing nicely.
Talk about a nic buzz...nothing beats a good CO high in the morning!
